Solar and battery
Solar and battery in one unit
Naxion states that its all-in-one sodium-ion systems include a solar MPPT charge controller, so rooftop panels connect directly to the unit.
How it works
Panels feed the loads in the day and charge the battery. The battery carries the evening, the night and any power cut. The grid fills the gaps. Because the MPPT controller, inverter and battery sit in one unit, there is less equipment to buy, wire and maintain.
What to know
- During a grid cut a hybrid system disconnects from the grid and powers only the circuits you chose. This is a safety requirement, not a fault.
- Panel size depends on your roof, your daytime use and the model. We size it on the survey.
- Rules for exporting power and for net metering differ by state and DISCOM, so we check yours before promising anything.
- You can start with the battery and add panels later, or the other way round; we plan the wiring so either works.
- For the NX PRO models we confirm the solar input on the Naxion datasheet before quoting.
