Industrial backup, 10 kW class
A floor-standing cabinet sized for small machines, pumps and compressors. We check the start-up surge of every motor so the system rides through it instead of tripping.
Who it suits
- Workshops, small factories and cold stores with motors and compressors
- Pumping stations, borewells and water plants
- Sites that rely on a diesel generator for short cuts and want to stop running it for them
What is included
- The floor-standing cabinet, with a status display and an isolator
- Cable runs, a changeover and an earthing check by the installer
- A written note of the loads backed up and the surge allowed for
- A service visit plan for the first year
What it can carry
| Load | Typical running power | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Motor or machine, 1.5 kW | 1,500 W | Starts at about three times this |
| Water pump, 3 hp | 2,200 W | Starts at about three times this |
| Compressor, 2 hp | 1,500 W | Surge on every start |
| Lighting, 20 LED battens | 400 W | 20 W each |
| Control panel and PLC | 200 W | Always on |
| CCTV and network rack | 210 W | Always on |
Typical values for planning. Your nameplates decide the real figure.
Things worth knowing
Three-phase loads and welding sets need a design review before we quote. We say so early rather than late.
Motors with a direct-on-line start draw the largest surge. A soft starter or a variable-speed drive lowers it and often lowers the cost of the system.
If your load is larger than one unit, modular or multi-unit designs split it across cabinets.
Price, make, model, usable capacity and warranty are in your written quote. We do not publish a price list because the right system depends on your load and your site.
